What To Expect From A Business Consultant
Bringing in a business consultant can mean a few different things are happening with your company. Maybe things aren't going the way you expected or you're ready to grow but you're not sure what steps to take next. Whether your business is new or been around for a long time, a business consultant can give you a fresh perspective and insights into changes that need to happen so you can reach your goals, like better employee training, giving sales a boost, changing your company culture, growing into new markets, expanding product lines, new facilities, and more.

The right consultant for your company will have experience in your industry, bringing in-depth knowledge, skills, and contacts to help your business meet its goals and overcome challenges.
A great business consultant will take the time to learn your business inside and out. This is typically done through meetings with owners, shareholders, stakeholders, management, supervisors, and employees. Some consultants will gather data from clients and/or customers, and even employees and vendors to measure the public's opinion about your company.
Your business consultant should understand your company's core values and mission, and bring enthusiasm and passion to your project. You should never feel like your company is just another client to your business consultant; in the world of business consulting, where relationships are currency, a careless attitude is a huge red flag.
A truly talented consultant will help you develop your best leadership traits and overall leadership skills, and those of your managers. Being told what to do is one thing, but a great business consultant will guide you and give you tips and tricks along the way to encourage better results throughout the company structure. Your business consultant should get to know you, your strengths and weaknesses, and help you hone your leadership abilities.
Your business consultant should help you develop a plan for your business to help you and your company reach the goals you've set. The plan should include measurable, concrete goal markers along the way so you can monitor improvement and know what's working.
Business consultants also provide in-depth training so your progress continues after the consultant's work is done. This training typically includes topics such as:
Sales
Leadership
Time Management
Productivity
Organizational leadership
Communication skills
Human resources (employee retention, screening, hiring practices)
Staff training
Your small business consultant should also provide you with a plan for metrics in order to measure results related to your goals. While overnight success isn't possible, it should be clear from the data that your plan is working. If it isn't, your consultant should have plans in place for you to make changes to the strategy so your company can meet its goals.

SMALL BUSINESS LEGAL PLANS
We also provide support beyond the launch of your business. Our Small Business Legal Plans offer unlimited legal advice for common business situations. Our Small Business Legal Plans allow you to call your provider attorney to get legal advice on an unlimited number of legal matters pertaining to your small business. Starting a small business means that you are going to have legal questions. Wouldn't it be great to just be able to pick your phone and call or send a message to an experienced, dedicated attorney and get answers to those questions?
Once your business is up and running, there will be times when you need to run something by an experienced legal professional, such as sales contracts, lease agreements, hiring employees, and more. With the small business legal plan, you will be able to submit legal business documents up to 15 pages each for your attorney to review, download and use document templates created by our lawyers and then have them reviewed by your attorney for feedback, and your attorney can write letters and make phone calls on your behalf.
As your business grows, your Small Business legal subscription plan will continue to support your small business. You get one hour of legal research on each matter included at no additional fee. This does not include Designated Consultations on certain areas of the law or out of state matters; these issues are covered by three Designated Consultations included with your plan each year, up to 30 minutes each. And, with our Small Business Plus and Small Business Pro plans, you're even covered for legal support during IRS audits or representation in a trial if your business is sued.
The Small Business Legal Subscription plan will more than pay for itself the first time you use it. And, since our plans start at just $49 per month, having access to a qualified, experienced, dedicated small business lawyer is a priceless benefit to your business that is within budget.
